Silversmith ID.Vilnius?

Post by madej »

Hi. I am asking for identification of the silversmith Mincewicz. I think it is a silversmith from Lithuania, maybe from Vilnius. Do you know anything about him?

Hello!
The maker is Martin Mincewicz from Vilno. See information from book Laucevičius E., Vitkauskienė B.R. “Lietuvos auksakalystė XV - XIX amžius”. Vilnius Baltos Lankos, 2001. See also Mincewicz's mark from my archive.
Regards.

Hi.
Thank you very much. I understood something from this, but not everything. I see that the silversmith's silver is quite rare. The hallmarks you posted are on the spoon?
