British silver vanity set

I have a 5 piece vanity silver set "made in England" stamped. There is a mirror with a long handle and a brush with same handle; another brush (man's or clothes?)15cm x 3 1/2cm, a comb and a crystal jar with a silver lid. All have 4 hallmark marks. The first one is I think the name of the company: it is C ? G and & Co underneath it. All contained in an escutcheon. THen there is the picture of either a single stem flower with two leaves at the bottom or it could be an anchor? Then there is the leopard on 4 legs head facing left and tail curled upward and finally I suppose is what is a date mark: it is not the same although they are all of the same style and design; one is stamped A with the left side curled down (like a slanted J)and the right straight; there are two which are stamped W and one Y. one looks as if the top part did not take and I cannot make a letter out of it. I apologize that I don't have a digital camera to post a picture. I hope this might be sufficient? I'd like to know when they were made and where, please? Thank you

The anchor and leopard tend to suggest Birmingham, the A would be for 1950, so probably the W would be 1946 and the Y 1948.
The maker's mark of C ? G & Co, I am afraid I cannot supply, a phot really is necessary to give us a clue.

Thank you so much. This is just so awesome that someone actually took the time to investigate this for me. I am VERY grateful. I'll try to find someone with a digital camera and send a picture. Again, thank you.
Most sincerely,
