Okay, so the first mark of W. Lameyer is I believe, the retailers mark for Wilhelm Lameyer of Hannover.
The next mark, which I 'll call a picture of a screw press, is the makers trademark. Although not identical to the various marks illustrated on this website, I think it probably belongs to M.H Wilkens and Sons of Bremen.

see what you think but before positively attributing to Wilkens, I'd wait to see what others have to say.

A photo of the sugar bowl would help in dating it.

All I can tell you from the marks is that it was made after 1886 when the crescent and crown were introduced.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Somewhere between 1916 and 1943 (Wilhelm Lameyer * 10-8-1889 - + 30-5-1928)
His father Carl Lameyer * 19-4-1847 - + 24-4-1923 (W.Lameyer & Son)

(30-5-1928) The company was continued by widow Magda Lameyer-Eicke

At the first major air attack on Hanover on 26-7-1943 the company was destroyed
The company was launched in 1956

Hi LittleJohnPotter,

We asked for a picture to give you a more sharp age of the sugar bowl.

No answer or response received.

Are you satisfied with the answer that I have given.?

If the answer is not clear enough, we would like to hear that.

Best Regards
Dendriet

Hi

Thanks for the picture.

I see that there is the interpretation may be wrong between production MH Wilkens and Sons and retailer / sales Lameyer.
If necessary we must observe to the turbulent times in Germany (stock)
That's why I am call on our on our German colleagues who have more insight and connect to the correct date according to the number 59037 (Wilkens).

Best Regards
Dendriet

Hi,

I knew there was something wrong
Good thing we have requested the photo
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilkens_%26_S%C3%B6hne

Marken

According to the production list, the year of production number 59037 has to be between 1885 -1886

Best Regards
Dendriet

Hi Littlejohnpotter,

My pleasure

I knew the order number of Wilkens was the key.
The data of Wilkens were stored in my PC, but lost for some reasons.

I wanted to be clever to develop this through the retailer's mark
Both stories Wilkens and Lameyer are correct, only in a different time for certain reasons
Finally, still decided to get the right data through Wilkens, (this time by Wikipedia)

Here's a good example, how important it is, to have a picture of the object

Best Regards
Dendriet
