Postby Murph73 » Tue Jun 16, 2015 6:35 am

Hello,

my Wife recently inherited a beautiful silver Purse. The Date was easy since it was engraved in the Purse,1926. But the hallmarks are a Challange for me. I have tried the Forum, G*****, and several other Platforms. No Luck. Im happy for any Help that can be given.

Best regards

Sean

I guess this is a hard one to crack. I found one on German E*** .Same markings but the owner also has no idea about the Hallmarks.

Best regards

Good day Sean,

Let me see if we can get this ball rolling. The 800 grade numerical mark indicates 800/1000 parts silver. The two initials LG possible is most likely a makers mark. Have found another mark with a clenched fist but was not able to identify it. The last appears to be a retailers mark reading MASSIFIL.

Hope this helps
Warren
