Danish tray, only two silver marks present

Postby sebastian4743 » Thu Apr 02, 2015 3:55 pm

I have got a tray and want to make sure it is a genuine item. It has only two marks: COHR and as I assume the Danish Assay Mark with the number 60 (assayed in 1960?).

I do not see any other marks that would indicate the silver purity, so it should be at least purity .826, right? It does not have a Master Assay Mark which makes me wonder if this is normal or should I be concerned?

The maker mark is COHR, but there are couple of COHR here: http://www.925-1000.com/denmarkC.html Is it Carl M. Cohr?

no its silver 830. The use marks is voluntary and Cohr, Georg Jensen etc wanted their mark to gurantee the quality.
I wrote quallity and not purity. Georg Jensen of today is stainless steel. So they mooved quality from Guardein to their mark.

Yours is silver made by Carl M Cohr in 1960.
