Identify maker on ladle

Postby razzirazz » Thu Jun 08, 2006 9:00 am

Dear List,

I'm trying to identify the maker of an English sterling silver ladle that I have. I believe it was made in London circa 1820 or 1900. The letters are in a sort of four leaf clover impress and they are: J.W F.C.W (initials as shown)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Regards,
Jim R.

James Wakely and Frank Wheeler. Best wishes, MIke.

They worked at the end of the 19th into the twentieth century so the 1900 date would appear correct. Best wishes, Mike.

Some Info about Wakely and Wheeler?

Postby razzirazz » Fri Jun 09, 2006 10:07 am

I have a large sterling silver (soup?) ladle made by Wakely and Wheeler circa 1900.

(admin edit - see guidelines)

Thanks in advance.
