help with hallmark

I've gone through encyclopediae and cannot seem to find this hallmark.

It is simply K & - I couldn't type that in very well. At first I thought the

small mark under the 'c' was an 'o' but I think it's just a small line, like a dash. The mark is on an exquisite pair of candlesticks. I was told they may be Italian but can't find this mark in Italian hallmarks. There are no other marks anywhere on the silver.

Looks like it should be K and Company and could come from almost anywhere. With only such a trademark and no hallmark they are not likely to be silver...however, if you can post pictures of the sticks and the mark it might help with identification. Best wishes, Mike.
