help needed

i have a cut glass pepper bottle { part of a condiment set i think} with a silver hallmarked top , the makers name from what i can make out is

L B & C followed by an anchor then i think its a letter y then the lion passant

i really am new to all this and any replies would be greatfully received

The anchor is the city mark for Birmingham, England. Without a photo, it is not possible to give you the date, but if you go to the British Hallmarks section of this website, there is a listing of Birmingham date letters, and you can check the date. I do not know the maker's mark, but perhaps someone else will.
