Help With A Spoon

I have a spoon that is 5.5 in long. It has the marks on the back. The lion passant, the crown, the date mark which is x and the maker R&B and or RB. I need help on who the maker R&B is? The spoon has a hook on the back. Maybe help on what kind of spoon it is. Please any help would be appreciated.

One possibility is Roberts & Belk, a Sheffield manufacturer who commenced operations in 1892. We would have to see a photo of the date letter to be positive about any date.
