Admin edit: Google translate : Hi, Spain and the 916. the colonies were in use prior to 1938 the Tapir is the only coat of arms to Latin America. The Portuguese branch can be excluded, as there are designated with a bird. If I'm not wrong, then it can be assumed that 22/24 = 0.916 So welcome to Gold Country but look carefully. Peter

Bilbao, Spain, and the maker is Luis Alvarez. The lowermost mark is a stylized "LA" monogram in a circle, and the second is a leaping dophin over "A", all in a heart; the image needs to rotated 90°to make these out. The third mark is the Bilbao arms, and the "916" the fineness (silver, not gold). My reference states only that Alvarez was working in the 20th century, but (as noted) your spoons appear to have been made before the introduction of national marking was introduced in Spain in 1934.

Hope this helps!

Saludos

There is a small error in the identification of the brand, it is Anduiza Clocks Jewelry and Silverware Luis Alvarez.
Important Basque silverware created by Luis Anduiza Goicoechea, based in Bilbao since at least 1896 in which records his first mark. By 1935 the company is part of "Cubiertos & Orfebrería Amurrio", based in Guernica. Today, with manufacturing still covered under the name "Servicios de Mesa de Guernica".
I enclose an old bill with the mark printed
I have an old, small covered catalog of this company, if you want to check if your covered in the catalog, send me a photo of the top.
