Assistance required re marks on Cigarette Case

I have been trying to identify the marks on this cigarette case and after searching the site can find no clues to the country of origin,date etc.
The case is hallmarked in 3 places and also carries the makers mark C&C
Any assistance would be most helpful.Thanks Ken.

While browsing the forum I have been able to partly answer the question myself from the information in this post viewtopic.php?t=2777
Now I know that one of the marks is the London import mark and possibly the date letter "q" for 1911 or 1931.
If any one knows who the maker C&C is please let me know.
I have a feeling it may be french as it has the initials "A de S" incscribed inside the case.

The date mark is definitely 1911-12 but the makers mark C&C eludes me. Is it C&C or C&Co? If it is C&CO it could be Carrington and Co or Collingwood and Co. Best wishes, MIke.

Any chance of a photo of the C&C mark? And where is it?

As your silver is imported, if it is the maker it will be a foreign mark. If not it will be the responsibility mark of the importer, and you will probably never know who made your case!

I have seen the C&C mark on smokers accessories attributed to Abert Cohen & Charles Solomon around the time your case was made. But the initials don't really fit, so I wonder... And I likewise have no more info on Messrs Cohen and Solomon.

The C&C mark is on the inside rim of the cigarette case.
