Hi,

Just checking something for a friend. Can anyone confirm that these two different maker's marks are those of V. Christensen of Copenhagen?

Any further information regarding this maker would also be most welcome.

Hello, Trev!
I have some items (spoons and cups) with marks "VC" in rectangular and "V.Christesen".

I believe that marks of Danish silversmith V.Christesen from Copenhagen. Mark "V.C." with dots is somewhere between these marks and can be also belongs to him.
His name is some mystical. Various resourсes named him V.Christesen or V.Christensen.
Marc Rosenberg named him V.Christe(n)sen (http://digi.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/diglit ... c48fccfc4b), site http://www.nobelantik.dk - V.Christensen, but Lise Funder in her article "Dansk sølv" writes about Vilhelm Christesen (http://www.jensensilver.com/news-info/d ... ilver.html).

Perhaps our friend Hose_dk will help us to understand this question :-).
Best regards. Alex.
