Would you show this whole Rassion (???) cigarette case please. Tell us what it measures as well. Would you also tell are the marks you show the only marks or are they more marks? If so where might they be? Like to see them too, thank you.

Rather interesting this "smiling" kokoshnik mark...

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Your thumbnail images are too small to give much information. Please post some larger images.

The only marks? In addition, the showed marks look dubious and I cannot find a suitable master for the master initials ИМ. They are up side down by the way. I'm afraid that your case is not of Russian origin. The case may be genuine but the marks are spurious.

Hi, All.

Moran1g nonattentively searched. Moran1g , you must to look attentively. There should be still marks on other party of a cigaret case.
If all right - Moscow, 1899-1908, assaymaster Ivan Lebedkin.
"Smile" is a scratch.))))
From list of masters (ИМ), who worked in Moscow 1899-1908, mostly likes Mnekin Ivan Nikolaevich.

Mnekin I.N. (Мнекин иван Николаевич) - owner of a silver workshop, 1886 - after 1909; in 1896 had six workers: Meshchanskaya district, a house of his. Moscow.

Best Reg..

Not only "should". if the case is authentic it must have other marks- I saw Mnekin too but as you said Dad, "it looks like" is not enough to me. The shape of the mark (too flat) and different font too. The kokoshnik's outlook in general makes me wonder..... It is a very dubious mark, I find it spurious.
