Hi!
This is a marking on a russian fork and it has been made in St.Petersburg by the company Vladimirov Nikolai Gavrilovich. The assay master is Alexandr Romanov. I am wondering why there is a marking K.P on the fork, is the silversmith or the retailer or what?

Re: Russian fork
Hi -
Vladimirov made mostly tea glass holders and therefore had to buy his flatware from supliers like K.P (lat. K.R), please notice that his original punch have only one dot in an oval cartouche K.P, or no dot KP in a rectangular cartouch. K.P made only knives, forks and spoons 1884-1908. His name is unfortunately not deciphert until today. To buy from supliers was absolute normal, even Fabergé did it.

Hi dad -
please read my contribution: Vladimirov made mostly tea glass holders and therefore had to buy from supliers like K.P .......
If you must buy from a suplier to sell than you are the vendor or retailer. Understand? Please use google translater :-)!
