Help Identifying these marks pls

Postby Stluke » Thu May 20, 2010 1:53 am

I have searched the crest base with no luck, I'm told the spoon is of civil war origin. There also is some elaborate work on the back of the spoon with a crest of some sort. Possibly EK or EH or FK or FH

Cheers.

Dear Stluke

the 875 mark is from Latvia, see the "World Marks" overview. The mark on the left seem to by kyrillic letters. A closeup of the mark on the right of the 875 may help to identify the origin and the maker closer. Latvia was independent from 1918 to 1940 and after 1991. So I would say the spoon is from 1918 to 1940.
A picture of the whole spoon could help.

Regards

Jörg
