Hello,
I have a tea-spoon, who is only marked with the letter "H". I do not know whether it is a makers mark (or a town mark?). I am interested, how old the spoon is and were it was made. The form of the Laffe looks young, its backside looks old.
I posted this question before in the forum of german silver. There my question was deleted.

I hope, someone can help me.

kind regards,

Ringo

Hello Ringo

the mark and the shape of the spoon demonstrate herisau (Switzerland).
I have even spoons of this city.
The marks of Herisau you can find also in:
"Weltliches Silber 2, Catalog of Switzerland. Landesmuseum" p. 65 ff

Gruss

Hello Stecci,

I thank You very much for Your help. Is it usually, that there is no makers mark? What do You think how old is the spoon?
