Hello. I'm not a specialist, I have just started being interested in silver.
Could you tell me something about this signature?



At the beginning I would say, that the most bright element in the picture is a piece of a decoration - it is not the sign.

What I know? It is from Sweden, and it's 830. Probably it is not possible to tell anything more, but I wanted to be sure. Because, I guess it is also "M" sign there???? And why there are not "S", near the Swedish national mark?

It's not the item of very high value, I just wanted to know more about it ;)

I agree with Bahner, not Swedish but imported to Sweden. The explanation of the missing S is that it must have been imported before 1913 when the S was implemented. Had it been Swedish, it would have a full set of marks like you can see on the Swedish page here. Also, if it had been imported after 1913, it would have had the three crowns in an oval (with the S), which was the import mark used instead of the cat's paw between 1913 and 1988.
