Marks top to bottom; crowned O tax(free) mark of 1807, town mark Gouda 2nd standard silver (833/000), maker's mark distorted perhaps for Quirijn Johannes van der Valk being a crowned falcon in rectangular shield facing left, Gouda year letter U for 1798

Gouda town mark/ city coat of arms is based on the family coat of arms of the knights/lords of ‘Heren van der Goude’ vertical bar flanked by three stars.Crowned for 1st standard silver and uncrowned for 2nd standard silver.
Quirijn Johannes van der Valk, baptized 2-2-1749, active silversmith in Gouda 1772-1801
