Henry Taylor Blow Wedding cup

This family heirloom was passed down from the Blow family, who happened to have owned Dredd Scott and funded his legal efforts to win his freedom.


the problem is I just can't seem to find a hallmark anywhere on this.. the picture here may be it..




I just can't say.. there is another photo of some prick outlines that look like they maybe chinese characters.. anyone who can point me in the general direction of where to look (i've done the base extensively) or anything about style, I'd much appreciate it..

My first instinct is to say Chinese based on the appearance of the prunus branches. The "pricking" is the reverse of part of the pattern.

Go over the entire piece with a magnifying glass underside and all, looking for anomalies. You may find several; then examine the anomalies with a loupe. If you cannot photograph the marks you may find, copy them carefully with pencil.
