Need help IDing hallmark on hand mirror-

The hand mirror's hallmark is: R M with an elk or a deer with a rack & S STERLING then the #'s 250-4. Does anybody know when and where this is from? Thanks.

P.S. Is this sterling silver or plated?

Sounds like the mark used by R. Wallace & Sons.
Yes, the W does look like an M.
Your mirror is sterling.
