I need help identifying the silver mark Peugeot Silver

I am trying to identify a silver mark on a Peugeot Pepper mill. It is marked STERLING 52. There is a sheild to the left of the SERTLING 52 that has a deer on the top half and the date of 1898 below the deer. I have searched the database and cannot find the mark (might be USER ERROR!!)

ANY help is appreciated. The mill is 4.25 inches tall and 1.875 inches wide.
