help identifying maker of fork

Postby melissamarie » Sat Mar 31, 2007 5:26 pm

I'm sorry the first time I tried this it didn't work right becasue Picasa doesn't work like I thought it did. Anyway, I need help identifying the maker of this oyster fork. I think its from 1903, but I'm not really sure. It was given to me so I don't know much about it. So any help would be great!

It would be most helpful to have a photo of the marks on the back of the fork, but if you can't take a photo, at least a description of the mark.

The back of the fork was hard to photograph without my flash screwing the picture up. But what is shown in the picture is the word pat. 1903 then of the three symbols the furthest left symbol is a lion. the middele one is an anchor and the right symbol is the letter B.

Gorham's Norfolk pattern, introduced in 1904.

thank you! Is there a way to tell which year the fork is from? It has a letter B on it.
