Help dating buttercup ladle?

Post by giniharper »

Hi, I have a Gorham Buttercup ladle and it's marked Sterling and Patent 1900, but there's this other symbol which I can't work out at all. Is it the date symbol? I looked at all the date images on this site for Gorham and can't see anything like this?! Can anyone help?

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Always show images of all of the marks.

Hi, sorry, didn't realise I needed to post all the images - here are the other two. Thanks.

Hi,
The mark is upside down;looks like French swan import mark, slightly different, though.

Thanks so much. That would make sense as the ladle was given to me by someone in Paris!
