Bowl marked STERLING but unknown mark: K with crown over it, within a shield (photo shown)

I'm hoping someone can identify this mark for me. The only other marks on this bowl are STERLING and then an 80 (or 08) and a number 2727 scratched under the STERLING. Fancy K with a crown above it, all within a shield outline.
This is a Paul Revere style bowl about 10 oz weight and 8 inches across
