Sterling Cigar Cutter Fob

Postby jgoldilox » Mon Sep 04, 2006 12:36 pm

Hi, everyone.
I'm new to the forum and have an imageless question about an Antique Cigar Cutter Fob.
I am guessing it as American, as it says "STERLING" with no three-digit content code.
The Hallmark is throwing me, though.<br> It is either the outline of a capital "U" upon a scrolling Easel, behind it, or it could be an opening-up horseshoe, upon the same eisel.

Thank You!!
Jami : )

This is really difficult without a picture. All I can offer is a wild guess. The Bristol Silver Company, Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Thank you for trying, but there is no insect in my hallmark.
I am not sure how to post a picture, unfortunately.
Here is a try, with what I think is the link to a so so picture.

Thank you, again!

Let's try that again. Edward Todd & Company, New York, New York. Founded in 1851 as Smith & Todd. Became Edward Todd & Company in 1871. Went out of business sometime around the great depression.
