I know it's a long shot, but can anyone identify this pattern? The stamp is H on a triangular flag with the word STERLING. I've identified the maker as Mechanics Sterling Co., but I haven't found this pattern anywhere yet. Also, do you have any idea when it was made? Thanks so much!

I believe you are correct about the mark being used by the Mechanics Sterling Company (division of the Watson & Newell Company). They also made a lot of souvenir spoons. This mark was used from 1896 to about 1920. I know a lot of websites refer to the letter inside the flag as a H. This is only my opinion, but I think it was intended to be a M. Can't help you with the pattern.

I believe your pattern is Oakland, introduced in 1903. It is Watson.
