Sterling Gravy Boat. Possibly Birmingham?

I have this gravy boat passed down through the family (Goodrich) and am trying to figure out its origin. I am not sure but think the lion is that of Birmingham. Not sure of the "S" before the lion or even the number 204. Thanks for any and all help!
