Silver Julep Cup

I have a silver julep or stirrup cup (3 1/2" high; 3" top diameter) that, according to family lore, was awarded to my great grandfather, who lived in Greencastle, Indiana, for showing horses - probably in the 1870s or 80s. It is marked on the bottom as follows:
S. P. BAILEY
INDIANAPOLIS
P.C.A.S.
PREMIUM
Does anyone know anything about S. P. Bailey, when he was in business, and what the marks mean? Thanks for your attention.

"Premium" was used on American coin silver, Kovel's shows a Samuel P. Bailey working in Indianapolis from 1851-60. Will leave anything else to other members with more knowledge and better references.
