Butter knives

Butter knives

I have 6 of these butter knives from my grandmother. I cannot identify the mark. They are not stamped sterling, although she says they are sterling. There are two marks. One is Pat. 04 and the other is shown in the picture. She believes them to be around civil war time..

Not if the designed was patented in 1904. . .
But perhaps the picture that didn't show up on your post will help with identification.
