teaspoon fiddleback with "J.F. Reeves", crown cres

Postby evergreen » Thu Jan 19, 2006 6:16 am

Hello; I can't seem to find anything on this teaspoon marked "J.F. Reeves" with a crown over a crest and two letters "S" and "D" all stamped on the back. Seems like the name is in a similar style jagged sawtooth box as I noticed on American silver circa 1812. Anyone heard of this maker, etc.? -Thanks

Circa 1835 there was a J F Reeves in Baltimore - a photo would confirm this!
