Has anybody heard of H.B. Marsh? I did some research about a year ago and found a listing for silversmith in Indianapolis, Indiana about 1825. I didn't save the web page and forgot any details of my research other than it was some type of city registry or census of local business there. (admin edit) Any solid info anybody has would be very helpful. Thank you.

He would have been 16 in 1825.

This doesn't change anything as far as the attribution for your mark is concerned, but I just thought you might want to know that there was an Henry Bird Marsh in Indiana in the second half of the nineteenth century. He was in Indianapolis around 1880, and his occupation was occulist which was a direction some jewelers took in those days. I guess it was as a result of having been the people that made frames for eyes glasses or at least assembled them back then. However, I don't see any sign that this particular H B Marsh was ever actually a jeweler, but he might have been what got you looking into an Indiana connection.
