capital R but in reverse

I have a curved handled baby spoon that has the following silver marks. Pat. Oct. 9, 1894, then STERLING. The maker’s mark is most confusing. It seems to consist of three-square blocks and the middle block has what appears to be a capital R but in reverse! The other two blocks appear to have some raised areas but are not distinguishable. In the bowl of the spoon it’s etched with a witch ridding a flying goose! Any help would be appreciated.

are all three blocks straight or is the middle block straight and the top two slanted on top?

The three blocks are in a row from left to right and the reverse R is in the middle block. The two blocks on either side of the center block are warn but maybe a tad smaller than the center block. It's hard to tell, but if one thinks long enough the center block could possibly be a little in the shape of a shield but I could be stretching my imagination!
