Heritage Silversmith in Ontario

Postby steve45jm » Sat Dec 03, 2005 1:13 pm

I've just recently purchased some sterling silverware that I thought was made by International Silver pattern 1810, but find out that it is Heritage Silver manufacture, pattern 1867. It seems to be identical to International's 1810 pattern except that there is an "h" and "1867" cast into back of the spoon instead of the "1810" which is on the International.

Is there any relationship between the two companies? Are the patterns identical and, if so, aren't there some kind of copyright laws that would prevent another company from using that pattern?

I purchased some of your 1867 pattern to add to my 1810 pattern and I'd like to know if they're really the same.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Steve
