The 1892 Chicago voting records show that Almond was first in Illinois in 1852.

In 1855 Almond is listed in Galesburg, Illinois.

In 1860 Almond was working in Galesburg, Illinois as a teacher of college.
(He was later a trustee at Lombard University in Galesburg).

In 1880 Almond is listed as a drug merchant.

In 1900 Almond is either listed as a druggist or a retired druggist.
It is difficult to tell for sure because the record is overwritten.

As most probably know it was common for druggists to stock fancy goods which included silverware.
