Mystery Hallmarks on Lovely Cruet Set... PHOTO

Postby Nylo » Mon Oct 01, 2007 7:56 pm

These have me stumpt. The heart looks English but the others are not. The grapes are probably an Italian (seen in Tardy silver book) import mark. Other than these marks there are no other identification marks/words to be found.

Any guesses?

Thanks,
Nylo

The mark on the left is the trademark of Weinrank & Schmidt of Hanau, Germany, founded in 1889 by Wilhelm Weinrank and Fritz Schmidt. The company existed until around 1970 when it was assumed by the firm of Wilhelm Geist & Sohn. The remaining marks are typical Hanau pseudo-marks.
