Postby 9supercomp » Tue Aug 28, 2007 9:40 am

I picked up a tea service with two lidded pots, creamer, sugar, and tray at an auction and need help finding out who and when it was made.

Thanks. I must have looked right over it.
Guess I was looking for the 835 first instead of the hallmarks.

Hi,
There is no set font for the numerical standard numbers or design style for the crown & crescent moon stamps. They vary widely from maker to maker and even on works from the same manufacturer, as a result they do not tend to be of much help when trying to identify a maker.

Regards, Tom
