Plese Help With this Silver Shoe

I am still learning but have inherited this silver shoe. I have been trying to find out what it was used for and about when it was made. Thank you for any help you can provide. I can provide more or larger photos if needed.here is a link to a top view

Forgot to mention the size it's about 4 1/2" long 1 1/4" wide 2" tall

Hello, looks like a pin cushion without the filling. The 800 stands for the fineness, the other three marks look like pseudo-marks. Probably a maker from the German Hanau region. Best wishes, Bahner

Have seen some other pictures of this piece, there is a hinged lid and gilt interior, suspect it may be a potpourri holder/box.
