I got this item from Denmark, but i have a feeling it was made some where else. First I thought it was a spoon, but it has two holes on the top of the Tower. It must have been hanging of something.
It is about 10 cm long. Please help solve the problem.

Hello, don't know what it is, but the maker is Neresheimer from Hanau, Germany. The "n" in the lower right hand corner is his mark. The lion is a Hanau pseudo mark, the other marks are London import marks. Check the forum, there are many threads on Hanau silver, with additional information. Best wishes, Bahner

Hi,
Either a sugar scoop or tea caddy spoon dependent on size, the top is a windmill, the hole was where the spinning windmill sails or vanes were attached.

Regards, Tom

ps. the "BM" is the sponsor's mark for Berthold Muller, an import agent registered with a number of British assay offices, year is 1910.

Yes, it would have been new at the time, and since it was made of .925 silver rather than one of the lower German standards, it was made specifically for export.

Regards, Tom
