Is this a German spoon?

Postby Hose_dk » Sat Jul 07, 2007 11:15 am

i have a spoon 23,5 cm. it is nicely ornamentet (front) at the back side engraved. ”Frau .... von 15 ... von Rosenkranz 1843” it must be a gift to someone from von Rosenkranz in 1843 probably a jubilee of some kind.

I had an idea that it might be this man - but he is 1700 and its says 1843, and that is corresponding with patern - I think it is.

He is Danish - but does not correspond - so my idea is it German perhaps?

Hello, I don't think it is Iversen, I rather read this as "NP". There is no match in my books on silver marks of Northern Germany for "NP" though. So I wonder, too. Best wishes, Bahner
