I have a tough one for the forum. I reached out to a reputable auction house in Germany, and their expert couldn't figure it out, either. Let's see if the trusty forum I've come to rely on can help figure this one out. The images are below.
There are several marks on this one. I originally thought the eagle mark was the Frankfurt city mark before they added the loth number, but the auction house expert didn't seem to think so. I believe "we" is the maker; the auction house expert thought there may be another letter in front of it that's mostly rubbed off. The seller also mentioned a French bigornes mark. The other marks I have no idea about.
Does anyone have any idea on the provenance? This is perhaps the strangest one I've come across yet. Thank you in advance.

Re: Here's a tough one for the forum
The mark on the opposite side of the bigorne could be a charancon, a French import mark.
Wait for confirmation from someone more experienced in the field than me.
The others look like fantasy marks.
Amena

Re: Here's a tough one for the forum
this is an intesting question.
I know this mark from an other objekt.
Makersmark is CWE.
the mark in the middle looks similar to marks from Zürich.
I think it is probably south-west-Germany or swiss.

Thank you, both! This is the fun part about silver collecting, which is learning something new with every item :-)
