Austrian? 13 crown mark - Teaspoon - Age?

Hello,
I have this early Austrian? teaspoon that just has a 13 lothig with crown mark. I just wondered how old it probably is and if I am wrong with the Austria atribution also. Then is there anyway to estimate a maker with no maker mark? Also I have others that look basically identical, even same monogram, but have a 13 mark with no crown also in an oval just no crown on top, are they older? newer?

in my oppinion it doesn´t seem to be austrian silver.My austrian silver items back to 1748 always have the 13 combined with the year of production. I guess it could be german Silver.In Germany the makers Hallmark was the kind of pattern the 13 (in this case) has(before1884).A combination of Purity and Makersmark in one hallmark. This spoon is one of many of this kind I have and these are all german.

Do you know what my mark is maker and date wise?

I was going by a book I borrowed that showed this mark as the crowned 13 being 16th century Austria and the 13 mark being 17th century - wanted to make sure because the spoons I have are too similar to be 100+ years apart. I borrowed the book and forgot to photo the page, I will have to get it back, it was an older silver book by Tardy, I think the last name was Tardy.

I would post this thread under "German Silver" . My opinion of the age
of that spoon is : middle of the 1800`s

Hello, I agree this is most likely German, around 1850/70. Several makers used a crowned "13", so without a town mark or maker's mark there is no chance of narrowing this down. The pattern was popular all over Germany (and not only there). Best wishes, Bahner
