I found this spoon while metal detecting in the mid-west of the USA. I have searched many places for this mark with no luck. I have found 'Z" mark. At this link: https://www.925-1000.com/Fger_hamburg_01.html
Any information is greatly appreciated!

Re: Hamburg Germany? VIOL + Z Makers mark
Hi,
If my understanding is correct, that is the mark of Johann Heinrich Friedrich Viol of Hamburg.
I'm sure another member will add further information.

Re: Hamburg Germany? VIOL + Z Makers mark
Hi,
Viol was active until 1843, so, the period matches the "Z" here, which is from the second cycle, used by assayer Johann Christian Daniel Weyergang 1826-1837.
