Basse & Fischer?

Post by Ubaranda »

Hello!
Does the mark BF with tongs in the triangle belong to Basse & Fischer?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, this does not read B & F (to my knowledge Basse and F. never made silver objects) but B & R for Breidenstein and Renaud, Frankfurt a.M., founded in 1889. Do not know what became of them. Regards, Bahner

Breidenstein und Renaud is correct. So, the basket travelled Germany, Russia and France.

Is that tiny circle the French Swan import hallmark? ::: I've seen it before and I remember it being unbelievably small. ::::
