Unidentified spoon- possible purity mark and maker

Post by Marie L »

Dear Forum friends,

Could someone identify this spoon ,maker, country and age. I have struggled to identify this for quite a long time now. I think the 12 marks the purity of silver and I read that Norway and Denmark marked silver with 12 lod. But maybe more countries did so?

Best Regards
Marie

I forgot to say that the provided link links to an image sowing the spoon front and back, in addition an enlargement of the marks. The link is :

the marks are not typical for any of the scandinatian countries.
12 is a typical mark for germany and pressent poland.
The zig zag stripe is not used in denmark or normay. They used a set of needles for the purity. In sweden the zig zag could excist but its rare.
pattern spartel is also typpical for germany - and not scandinavia.
Pattern is a biedermeier pattern.
My guess would be old germany states.

Thank you! Any ideas of age? Do you think the F.D could be the maker or is it the town mark?
