This trophy was inherited from my grandmother some years a go. It has a signature with a sophisticated P and B, but I have searched the web and i could´t find it. It seems that the letters in the front seal are in ancient German. If someone has any clue I wold greatly appreciate it.

Hi,
I managed to open links to your images:PB engraved, possible initials of the owner, nothing to help with the maker.
The medallion is too small to read the inscription, but it bears the coat of arms of German town Bremen.
If you want more info I suggest to take better close up of the inscription and search for marks.Sometimes it takes time.
Try to embed your images.
Regards

Hi,
Zweites Deutsches Bundesschießen (2nd German Shooting Festival)16-24 July 1865 in Bremen.
400 shooters came from Oldenburg, 200 from Hamburg, 70 from Berlin, 30 from Switzerland,62 German-born shooters arrived from New York on the Bremen steamer. 554 prizes and gifts of honor had arrived in Bremen from German communities and associations all over the world, but those from princely houses were hardly among them.
Special Thaler coin was minted.
Unfortunately, no silver marks are present in your images. What you showed in your images are not silver marks.Try to find them.
Regards

No,it is something completely different;as far as I can tell it is the mark of
WMF Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (upside down).Compare with full mark (your mark is on the right).Very famous, but not silver.
