Re: German Silver Tray, marked with maker's mark JB
In my register of german maker's marks there is only one JB without dots which is attributed to J. Benz, Pforzheim. I am not sure if this is right, because I do not know this company especially not as a maker of a tray.

Thanks for the effort.
Then I have to wait for someone who is familiar with the maker's mark JB.
But I'm also curious about your comment "I do not know this company especially not as a maker or a tray "
and what you mean by that.
Re: German Silver Tray, marked with maker's mark JB
I wanted to say that - though I know a lot of companies - I never saw this mark and that a tray is not the easiest product for a silversmith. From a skilled silversmith one would have expected to see more pieces.
