I think this is German - Marked 12

I believe this spoon is German silver because it has a "12" stamped on the reverse, but I'm not sure. By the feel of it, it definitely feels like solid silver. The reverse is stamped with a mark that is partly missing, but ends in what looks like an "H", and is then stamped with a "12". It measures 9".

Any help in identifying this piece is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The patter of this spoon is typical for spoons from Leipzig ... Weissenfels area.

Hello, I see that Theoderich has not made any suggestions as to the maker of this spoon. Do we assume that the second mark is not a maker's mark? My first careful look at the second mark was that it looked like a Roman numeral "XII", and could be just number 12 again. Sorry to ask but I have seen close up probably only 3 or 4 German "lot" standard spoons and wondered if other spoons had extra marks of that type.
