Lighter

Postby andreac » Mon Feb 05, 2018 4:17 am

Hi,

I would appreciate your help in identifying some hallmark on this lighter. The lighter was most probably produced by ADOLF KINZINGER / FERDINAND WAGNER (Sarastro Industry) in Germany.
The first hallmark with the letters RE can be found on some other lighters of Sarastro and I don't believe that is related to silver as I saw it also on NOT silver lighters.
The second hallmarkI suppose that is related to silver.

On the liftarm can be found also another hallmark that unfortunately isn't so visible.

Here is the lighter

Somebody told me that the nice work could be from Louis Kuppenheim

Many thanks for your help

Hi,
Let`s start with small rectangular mark. It is French ``weevil`` import mark for sliver minimum 800 fineness, used 1893-1984.

Hi AG2012,

thank you for the reply. I suppose you mean the one on the liftarm. Right?

It`s not his lighter.

Hi,

as I also manage a forum I read the requirements and I've to apologize if somehow I've violated a rule also if I believe that I didn't do it.
My post has linked to, in my opinion, to the best non commercial site of a collector of Louis Kuppenheim where there are a lot of information about LK and many great objects to see.

Again apologize if I did something wrong

Andrea

Hi,

Regarding the silver lighter I fail to see or recognize Louis Kuppenheim maker's mark LK, could you show us?

Hi Peter,

you didn't fail to see the LK hallmark because isn't there. What I heard is that sometimes LK only painted some lighters or other objects without marking it but I'm not an expert and therefore I'm not confirming this.
