Please help identify marks on Cigarette case

Postby Gerox » Thu Feb 16, 2017 11:18 am

Hello All,
There is a nice Cigarette case, Niello technology,
800 or 900 silver.
Image
Another item of which with unspecified brands.
1. Crown in a circle
2. 800 or 900 silver fineness
3. “R.G.M.” in the rectangle
4. “201236” in the rectangle
5. “XX” in the rectangle
Image
I think it is Germany, but I'm not sure.
Can someone interpret these brands?
Has anybody an idea?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi,
D.R.G.M. stands for "Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster" - meaning protected patented design under the German Imperial Government.
In reference with the number (will try to date it).
Maker`s mark is on the left of ``800`` (too blurred).

The 'XX' mark identifies the Berlin wholesaler Willhelm Müller.

Hi AG2012, Hi dognose,

Thank you all for the info and for your quick reply.
It is very interesting and appreciated.
The brand "Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster" I see the first time.
Maker`s mark on the left of ``800`` I only recognize a crown in the circle (without half-moon)
That's why I was not sure whether German.
But the link to Wilhelm Müller is correct
Thanks again for the perfect answers
Best regards
