Hamburg Guild Carl Lincke Question

Postby neurorocker » Thu Nov 05, 2015 8:38 pm

I believe this item may be by Carl Martin Lincke of Hamburg. I have two questions I could use help on.

1. What is the silver standard for the Hamburg Guild.
2. When was this piece made?

Thanks so much! I hadn't spotted that thread and the Hamburg page doesn't have an example of the 'D' mark. I think then that this piece was "struck 10 December 1853 until maybe first month of 1865 by Johan Jacob Probst".

One more thing if known.. What was the fineness standard that they used? Is it 800?

I guess that 12 lot (750 in metric system). Proof 800 appeared later - after 1880.
